Acai Extract
Acai extract is one of the best selling health products on the market. This is partially due to marketing in the early stages that promoted this Amazonian berry as a super food, and as a new ‘must-have’ product.
Celebrities were seen using this product and swearing by the results as a main reason for their weight loss and general improvement in appearance and health, and as time went on, the very mention of acai extract was a daily headliner. The consequences of this were the sudden rises in demand, and also in price as the suppliers reacted to this surge.
This pushed the acai berry into the big league of health products, meaning that it now had a certain exclusivity to it.Once the initial boom ended, prices returned to a near-normal amount and the product finally became tailored to meet the needs of the buying public.
The reason why acai extract was popular in the media was the abundance of supposed health benefits that came with the berry. These were due to the antioxidants found in the berry, which were reported to be more than 30 times that of red wine or olive oil; two food items which had recently been reported as being the best for helping the skin and circulation within moderation.
Acai extract is now being marketed a little more sensibly, with suppliers converting the raw ingredient into tablets, powdered drinks and added flavors for other items.
Reputable retailers began to stock the item which gave it more creditability against the backlash of the scientific world who believed that the health facts on acai extract had been largely fabricated for the consumer’s consumption. Newer news stories have now started to see the real health potentials of acai extract aside from all the bold initial claims of it being a world ‘superfood’.
These cover weight loss, healthy organs, good circulation and glowing skin as well as being a libido enhancer and delicious change to the boring ingredients used in most smoothies and yogurts. Acai is fast becoming a consumer favorite in the health industry.
